22nd May!
Radio Samurai is released on DVD and VHS this week! Get down to your local video
store and rent a copy. You can pre-order your own copy to buy from websites
such as EzyDVD,
where it will be available from 24th July. Both rental and sell-thru releases
are SPECIAL EDITIONS which include the flim in widescreen with 5.1 surround
sound, a full-length behind-the-scenes documentary, a short documentary on Brooke
Satchwell, the feature film trailer, and director's commentary. It is an epic
package that is a must in your DVD collection!
Launch Party!
The launch screening and party to celebrate the release of
Radio Samurai will take place on Wednesday 24th May 2006 @ 7:30pm at ACMI (Australian
Centre for the Moving Image). The screening will be the WORLD PREMIERE of the
feature-length behind-the-scenes documentary 'THIS IS HARDCORE: THE MAKING OF
RADIO SAMURAI'. For all those connected with the film in any small or large

The official release date of Radio Samurai to DVD around
Australia is Monday 22nd May 2006. This has been confirmed by the distributor
and is the date you will see the film in your local video store. Book your copy
now!
Radio Samurai Release Imminent!
The DVD release of Radio Samurai is only a month away! Alliance
Motion Pictures are distributing the film through the Shock Label for a May
rental and August sell-thru release. Stay tuned for details of the launch screening,
and where you'll be able to get your hands on a copy.
'This
Is Hardcore' Documentary!
It's official! The DVD release
of Radio Samurai will contain the much anticipated behind-the-scenes documentary
'This Is Hardcore: The Making of Radio Samurai'. An 'all gloves off' peak into
the world of independent filmmaking that will undoubtedly take its place alongside
other documentary features such as 'Hearts of Darkness' and 'Full Tilt Boogie'.
Festival Success!
Director Nick Levy has taken out the runner-up prize for
Best Screenplay at Shriekfest Los Angeles. Nick was in attendance to receive
the award for the feature script UTTERSON: THE UNTOLD STORY OF DR JEKYLL &
MR HYDE that was co-written by Nathan Hill. Nick's other feature project, RAZOR
EATERS (click
here for the website), played at the festival and won top honours in the
Best Thriller and Best Actor categories.
